At the recent Leicestershire Age Groups and Championships held at the Braunstone Pool, Tsubasa Nakagawa, a member of Knighton Fields S.C. and the City Of Leicester Squad clocked a new East Midlands Junior Record time for the 50m Freestyle, breaking his own Record.

His time was 23.46 and this was only 5/100th off Mark Foster's Long Standing British Junior Record (23.41) established 22 years ago. Tsubasa went head to head with Senior County Record holder Jack Lay (Penguins) in a scintillating race- Jack clocked a new County Record of 22.76,which puts him 2nd in the East Midlands Rankings.

Tsubasa hopes to get another stab at the Record before his 16th Birthday.
