City of Leicester Swimming Club pair Sophie Smith and Tsubasa Nakagawa enjoyed their first taste of International experience this season.

Competing at the World School Games in Qatar both swimmers made the most of the tough competition and qualified for individual and relay A finals.

Sophie Smith competing in 100m Freestyle posted a time of 57.67 just outside her Personal Best finishing a respectable 7th.

Tsubasa Nakagawa competing in the 50m Freestyle finished in a time of 23.78 in 6th place.

Both Swimmers then joined forces with fellow England Team mates for the 4x100m Freestyle Relays.

The England Female Team with Sophie on lead off leg finished just short of the medals in 4th place. 

Tsubasa taking the second leg of the England Male Team finished the A Final in 5th place.

Both swimmers now look to European Junior qualification at British Championships and their second International competition of the Season with the England Talent Programme.
